🔗 Share this article The Fifth Toy Story Film Teaser Pits The Beloved Duo Against a Tablet Computer It has been 30 anniversary after the first Toy Story movie was released, launching the animation giant as a leading film company and bringing viewers to iconic figures like Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), who are now famous worldwide. Coming in 2026, the fifth installment is set to arrive. The initial preview for Toy Story 5 appeared recently, offering a glimpse into the storyline but keeping fans curious how it will address the conclusion of Toy Story 4. The Latest Addition: A Frog-Shaped Tablet Spooks the Toys The preview shows Bonnie — who inherited Andy's toys when he left for college — receiving a brand new toy, one that alarms the familiar toy group. Bonnie acquires her first tablet computer, and she is excited about it. Presumably, the frog-shaped tablet will animate just like Bonnie's other toys. However, the characters appear to consider it as a threat intending to supplant them, which it likely will. The Cowboy's Comeback: Mysteries from Toy Story 4 An element the trailer avoids is why the sheriff is returned with his companions in Bonnie's room. The finale of Toy Story 4 saw him set off on a new adventure with Bo Peep (the actress), traveling with a fair and helping giveaway items find good homes. Certainly, the filmmakers will explain the aftermath of Toy Story 4 in the film. Witnessing him show up in Bonnie's room without warning is a little strange, however. It also raises questions whether his partner will have come back with Woody. And what about Duke Caboom (Keanu Reeves)? Connections from the Previous Film Fortunately, some elements are continuing from the prior film. The final act Woody did before departing for his new life was pass his sheriff badge to the cowgirl (the voice actor), entrusting her as the leader of the toy domain. In the teaser shows the badge pinned to her shirt. Hopefully she is remains the key figure among the toys. Toy Story 5 debuts on the scheduled date.
